Traffic was backed up Friday morning after three vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 51 and Oliver Road, near Hollywood Video, where emergency officials worked to extract at least one entrapped victim from the 11:04 crash. A pickup and minivan sustained heavy damage in the crash, and a third vehicle was also struck. At least one woman was taken to an area hospital by ambulance with inclement weather grounding emergency helicopters, an official at the scene said. No update on her condition was available at press time. According to Fayette County 911, volunteer firefighters from North Union and West Leisenring along with emergency personnel from Uniontown Fireman’s Ambulance and the state police responded to the late-morning crash.
