Gertrude “Dot” Hutchinson
Gertrude “Dot” Hutchinson, 89, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2005. She was born March 7, 1916, in Layton, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Mayme House Stimmell.
She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Perryopolis. She was also a member of the Old Time Fiddlers, Heritage Society, Traveler Club and Bowling League, all of Perryopolis. She is the last of her immediate family.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clarence J. Hutchinson; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Hutchinson of Perryopolis; a grandson, Scott Hutchinson and wife, Arlene of Perryopolis, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Hutchinson; four brothers, John, Roy, Robert and Edward Stimmell; and four sisters, Nancy Stimmell, Marie McKelvey, Nelle Piper and Genevieve Crawford.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNREAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence St., Perryopolis, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Monday until 11:30 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. John Matsko officiating. Interment will be in Mount Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pa.
