Master rod builder to speak at TU meeting The Chestnut Ridge Chapter of Trout Unlimited will feature master rod builder Rich Zoog of Orchardview Angling at it regular meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Becker’s Shadyside Inn in Uniontown.
Zoog will discuss steelhead fishing in western New York.
All old and prospective members are welcome to attend.
POKER SHOOT: Roscoe Sportsmen’s Association will hold a Poker Shoot on Sunday, Nov. 20.
The cost is $10 with $5 going toward the prize kitty.
Fifty-two cards will be posted face down on the backstop.
Shooters will shoot from the bench and must hit give cards with five shells.If you don’t hit five cards, it will cost $1 more per shot until you have a five-card hand.
The club will pull two cards to start your hand, and you will use three of your five cards to complete the hand.
The best poker hand wins the kitty.
There will be one winner only. The winner does not have to be present.
Shooting will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until dark, but it is best of pre-register and reserve a shooting time.
There will be side shoots and games all day.

AMEND SHOOTS SET: Amend Gun Club will host ham, turkey and bacon shoots each Sunday during the month of October.
Shoots begin at 1 p.m. and are open to the public.
Today there will be a special women’s event.
DUNBAR HAM AND TURKEY SHOOT: Dunbar Sportsmen’s Club President John Maddas announced that there will be a ham and turkey shoot today at the club, beginning at 1 p.m.
There will be shoots for shotguns and .22 rifles
Refreshments will be available at the clubhouse.
If you cannot attend today, another shoot is schedule for Oct. 23.
