One transported

State police said Fayette EMS transported Ryan Kerr, 35, of Washington to Uniontown Hospital for moderate injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Route 40 at Woodlands World at 1:35 p.m. Saturday.

Neither of the drivers – Danny Show, 68, of Brunswick, Ohio, and Linette Zabrosky, 21, of Carmichaels – was injured in the crash, police said. Kerr was a passenger in Zabrosky’s vehicle, while the passengers in Show’s vehicle – Paul Show, 44, Edith Show, 46, both of Cleveland, Ohio, and Faye Show, 68, of Brunswick, Ohio – suffered minor injuries in the crash, said police. Each person involved in the crash wore seatbelts, police said. Volunteer firefighters from Farmington and Markleysburg assisted at the scene. Police cited Zabrosky as a result of the accident.

North Union Twp.

House struck

At 11:25 p.m. Friday, a white Cadillac occupied by two black males backed out of a parking spot at the Sails Inn, across Lillian Street and into 315 N. Gallatin Ave., the residence of William L. Elias, 57, of Uniontown, state police said. After striking the house, the car fled the scene south on Gallatin Avenue, police said.

Man cited

Patrick Lear, 25, of Chalk Hill was cited for harassment and criminal mischief after he allegedly entered the 2812 Dinner Bell Five Forks Road residence of Lauren Rishel, 21, of Farmington and pulled Rishel out of bed by her feet, causing her to strike her head on the metal bed rail at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, said state police. The confrontation ensued outside where Rishel got inside a truck belonging to Larry Rishel, 53, of Farmington and tried to drive away before Lear allegedly used a closed fist to strike the truck in the driver side windshield area, causing the windshield to crack, said police.

Vehicle rolled

A 1995 Ford Probe operated by David Elmer Smith, 39, of Fairchance failed to negotiate a left turn on a wet roadway and struck a dirt embankment, causing the vehicle to roll onto its roof at Hardin Hollow and Barton Hollow roads at 6:11 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

Smith, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, complained of sore ribs, but refused treatment at the scene, police said. The vehicle that sustained heavy damage was towed from the scene. Haydentown Fire and EMS responded to provide traffic control, said police.

Hit-and-run probed

State police investigated a hit-and-run crash at the Shop n’ Save parking lot around 2:30 p.m. Saturday after a vehicle operated by an unknown driver struck a white Saturn. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Uniontown at 724-439-7111.

Juvenile charged

A 15-year-old Fairbank girl was charged with harassment after she allegedly pulled the hair of and slapped a 16-year-old Hopwood girl outside of Bon Ton in the Uniontown Mall at 6:52 p.m. Friday, according to state police.

Uniontown

Burglary reported

City police reported a burglary at O.C. Cluss on Pennsylvania Avenue at 1:15 a.m. Sunday. During a search through the city for the suspect who escaped from the business, police initiated a pursuit on a suspect vehicle, a light-colored minivan, around 3:30 a.m. Police observed the van driving the wrong way and then speeding up upon spotting the marked police vehicle in the 200 block of East Main Street. Police lost the van in the area of Crossland Avenue.

No further information on the burglary was available from police Sunday night.

Mount Pleasant Twp.

Argument reported

State police said a known suspect allegedly grabbed John Wesley Gray II of Mount Pleasant and put him in a “headlock” during an argument at the Open Pantry convenience store in the village of Norvelt at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Uniontown

Window broken

City police said someone shot the rear window of James Killinger’s GMC Yukon parked in the driveway of his 240 Derrick Ave. home after 1 a.m. Sunday. Police said they have no suspects in the incident. Killinger told police he replaced the window at a cost of $500 after it was broken in another incident of criminal mischief.

Uniontown

Search conducted

At the request of state police in Uniontown, city police K-9 Sheiko searched a vehicle for narcotics at Hunter’s Ridge apartments in Brownsville at 9:32 p.m. Saturday, reported city police.

Police said the owner of the vehicle consented to the search, although Sheiko did not indicate the presence of any contraband.

Theft reported

State police said someone stole personal items from the glove box of Scottdale resident Nancy Atz’s vehicle while it was parked on Wellington Street Sunday.

South Union Twp.

Generator stolen

Someone stole a Kubota generator from inside a storage trailer at the Target construction site located at the corner of Matthew Drive and New Salem Road sometime between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.
