Robert D. Gess III, age 13, of Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly Saturday, October 8, 2005, in Children’s Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born May 6, 1992, in Uniontown, Pa., loving son of Robert D. Gess Jr. and Rhonda Moats Gess of Uniontown.

Robert was an eighth grade student at Lafayette Junior High and a member of the Boy Scout Troop No. 608 at Third Presbyterian Church.

He was an avid guitar player and loved fishing and hunting and shooting with his dad and quad riding with his dad and Uncle Greg at their camp in McKean County.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Gloria Gess, and his maternal grandparents, Harry Moats Sr. and Sarah Moats.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Samantha Gess at home; paternal grandfather, Robert D. Gess Sr.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, October 12, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Rev. Art Mace officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.

Visitation was also held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
