Connellsville
Investigations continue Police are conducting investigations into the following unrelated incidents:
– An Oct. 6 criminal mischief when the front and rear windshields of a red Honda Civic hatchback were smashed while it was parked along West Fairview Avenue.
– An Oct. 4 theft of a right front wheel and tire from a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of South Arch Street.
– The Oct. 4 burglary at a North Pittsburgh Street residence. Police reported that a .22-caliber revolver was removed from the home.
– The Oct. 4 theft of a 1988 red Chevrolet Beretta from a North 4th Street residence. Police said the vehicle was later recovered along Interstate 79, near Washington, where it was partially burned.
The registration number of the vehicle is FWV8186, added police.

Charges filed
Police have filed charges against the following individuals in unrelated incidents:
– Kelly K. Hoggard, 20, of Scottdale with public drunkenness and underage drinking following an Oct. 4 traffic accident on Memorial Bridge when she allegedly attempted to run from police.
– James Leasure, 40, of Connellsville with violating a protection from abuse order after he allegedly called the protected person six times on Oct. 6 before a scheduled hearing related to a previous protection from abuse order.
– Jobe Guess, 44, of Connellsville with disorderly conduct after he allegedly exposed himself along West Apple Street on Oct. 5.
– Bonnie J. Shawley, 30, of Dunbar with retail theft after she was allegedly observed by an employee removing two packs of candy valued at $1.29 each from the Sheetz Convenience Store on Oct. 5.

Amp stolen
A Jensen stereo amplifier owned by Walter Myers of Uniontown was stolen from his vehicle between 7:30 and 8:10 p.m. Thursday at 394 Ronco Road, according to state police reports.

Citation filed
A harassment citation was filed against Steven Suchevits, 37, of Uniontown for allegedly pulling Laura Wingrove’s hair and pushing her to the ground at 456 Clarendon Ave. at 9:57 p.m. Monday, state police said. The citation was filed at Senior Magisterial District Judge Lawrence Blair’s office.

Driver cited
State police said Wilma R. Crow, 83, of Brownsville was cited with running a red light at the intersection of Route 857 and Morgantown Road following a two-vehicle accident at 3:46 p.m. Sunday. No injuries were reported. Police said Crow, who had a passenger in the vehicle, was traveling north on Route 857, drove through the red light at the intersection and hit a vehicle driven by Dianne E. Izzi of Uniontown.

Driver injured
State police said Alex Haines, 17, of Ohiopyle was taken to Uniontown Hospital with injuries he sustained in an accident at 9:35 p.m. Friday on Route 40 near Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa in Farmington. Police said his vehicle traveled off the wet road and went down an embankment before hitting a tree.

Man hurt
State police said Christian Stewart, 34, of Fayette City was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital with injuries he sustained in an accident at 8:15 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle hit concrete steps at St. Nicholas Church. His vehicle went up the steps and landed in the church’s front yard.

Hit-and-run accident
State police said a newer maroon pickup truck backed into and damaged a car owned by Joseph Sacane of Charleroi in the Uniontown Mall parking at 1:10 p.m. Oct. 4 and fled.

Car scratched
City police said the trunk, hood, sides and roof of a car owned by Willa Deberry were scratched at 7:52 p.m. Sunday.

Gasoline stolen
An unknown driver left the Dairy Mart on Dixon Boulevard without paying from $15 in gas at 10:20 a.m. Friday, state police said.

Theft reported
A Pioneer CD player was stolen from a vehicle owned by Kenneth Carnes of Connellsville between 7:20 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday on Alverton Alley in Alverton, state police said.

Window broken
Anthony Piccolomini reported that a window was broken at his Derrick Avenue residence between 1 and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, state police said.
Centerville
Gun charges filed
Borough police said theft charges were filed against Eric S. McAchren, 28, of Clairton for allegedly stealing eight guns from a borough resident in June. Five of the guns have been recovered. The charges were filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge William Pelkey.

Driver charged
Charges were filed against Joshua Gildea of Grindstone after his vehicle reportedly struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Robert Conway of Masontown at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Route 166 in Thompson 1 and then fled, state police said. Conway followed Gildea long enough to obtain his vehicle’s license plate number, police said. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

Hit-and-run reported
State police said charges are pending against a 28-year-old Rices Landing man for allegedly hitting the left rear tire of a school bus driven by Billy Vandivner of Brownsville on Royal Road in Royal at 2:40 p.m. Monday and fleeing from the scene.

Identity theft reported
State police reported that someone used the identity of John Mills of Smock without his permission in Kansas and Mississippi to obtain a cell phone on Monday.
Uniontown
Gas stolen
City police said James Vending reported Tuesday that gasoline was siphoned from vehicles on its North Gallatin Avenue property several times last week. A siphon hose was found there Tuesday, police said.
