Elsie Mae (Cuppett) Seliga, age 87, of 328 Messmore Road, McClellandtown, Pa., died Sunday, October 9, 2005, at 7 a.m. in her home. She was born January 12, 1918, in Leckrone, Pa., the daughter of Oliver Grant Cuppett and Bertha (Johnson) Cuppett.

Elsie was a housewife and a member of the Carmichaels (Pa.) Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew S. Seliga on December 30, 1983, a sister, Dorothy Yowler, and a brother, Melvin Lute.

She is survived by eight children: daughter, Shirley Michantz of Stow, Ohio, daughter, Darlene Martelli of Pittsburgh, Pa., son, Ronald Seliga and his wife, Linda, of Masontown, Pa., daughter, Sandra and her husband, Fred Krzysiak, of Maryland, daughter, Judith and her husband, Jim Pletcher, of Uniontown, Pa., daughter, Bonnie Kloock of McClellandtown, Pa., daughter, Linda and her husband, James Lilley, of Uniontown, Pa., and a son, Gary Seliga and his wife, Lisa, of Masontown, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Kurnava of McClellandtown, Pa.; and a sister-in-law, Rose O’Brokta of Terrium, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church at 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., today, Wednesday, October 12, until 1 p.m., the hour of the Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Meryl Spiker officiating.

Interment will follow in Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.

Visitation was also held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
