A. Jeanne Charrot Peters, 80, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away at home on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, after a brief illness. She was born on Nov. 19, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. the daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Angelica Stewart Charrot.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Peters M.D., a brother Lawrence F. Charrot, and three infant children.

She was a registered nurse, receiving her degree from Long Island College Hospital School of Nursing. During World War II, she was a member of the United States Nurse Cadet Corporation, and was a plane spotter for the U.S. Army Air Corp.

She was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, and The Fayette County Medical Auxiliary, where she served as President from 1961 to 1962 and from 1973 to 1974.

She was a Uniontown Hospital volunteer for many years and a past member of the Uniontown Country Club.

She is survived by her devoted and loving children, John and Betsy Peters of Uniontown, Pa., Lawrence and Lois Peters of Uniontown, Pa., Kathleen and Gary Walton of Greensburg, Pa., Mary Jeanne Peters of Uniontown, Pa., the Rev. Fr. Jude (Robert J., Jr.) Peters O.C.D. of Hubertus, Wis., and Elizabeth and Robert C. Baugh of Greensburg, Pa; her dearly loved grandchildren, Kristin and Donald Marcoz, Jonathan and Adrienne, Kimberly, Meghan, Emily and Mackenzie Peters, Matthew, Zachary, Jessica and Caitlin Walton and Daniel, Jeremy, Nicholas and Margaret Baugh; a great-grandson, Robert Marcoz; her loving and devoted sister, Mary C. Mansfield of Stuart, Fla., and Garden City, N.Y.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 680 Cherry Tree Lane, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Con-Celebrated Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in Saint Mary (Nativity) R.C. Church of Uniontown, Pa., with her son, the Rev. Fr. Judge Peters O.C.D., as the main celebrant. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
