Evelyn L. Alex
Evelyn L. Alex, 94, of Westlake, Ohio, and formerly of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2005, in Westlake Village Skilled Care Facility.
She was born Aug. 3, 1911, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of the now late William F. Attix and Leona Clinard Attix. In addition to her parents, her husband, John G. Alex also preceded her in death in 1983.
She graduated from Louisville Girls High School in 1929. Evelyn was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Uniontown Country Club and the Uniontown Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are a brother, William G. Attix and his wife, Jane of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Edythe Greer of Foley, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Pa., where friends will be received today from 2 to 6 p.m., and Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, from 10 until 11 a.m., in the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael I. Orsted officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
