James C. Stark
James C. Stark, 67, of Mullica Hill, N.J., passed away on Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, in Elmer Hospital, N.J. He was born in Balsinger, Pa., on Feb. 8, 1938, the son of the late Hayden and Haddie (Cain) Stark.
Mr. Stark lived in Elk Township, N.J., for the past 32 years. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958. In 1992, he retired from Local 19, Philadelphia, Pa., as a sheet metal worker.
Mr. Stark was past Master of Masonic Lodge No. 197 in Pitman, N.J., and a member of the Fayette County Masonic Lodge No. 228. He was also a member of the Ewan Fire Company for 29 years and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW of Uniontown, Pa.
Mr. Stark enjoyed people and was a genuine and goodhearted person, who was always ready to lend a hand.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Raymond Stark.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Shirley G. (Green) Stark; three children, James T. Stark and his wife, Joetta of Franklinville, N.J., Karma L. Stark of Mantua, N.J., and Jeffrey B. Stark and his wife, Kristy of Elk Township, N.J.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Calvin Stark of Fairchance, Pa., Dale Stark of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Richard Stark of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister, Mary Spencer of Alma, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the FUNERAL HOME AT MULLICA HILL, 63 North Main St., Mullica Hill, N.J., today from 4 to 8 p.m. Masonic services will begin at 8 p.m., tonight, followed by funeral services. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., from 9 to 11 a.m., the hour of service. Fayette County Masonic Lodge No. 228 will conduct services at 11 a.m., followed by funeral services with the Rev. Art Mace officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, where Military Rites will be accorded by VFW Post 47. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, or to the American Diabetes Association, 1050 North Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
