Uniontown site of religious conference
Newness of Life Ministries and Hungry for Him Fellowship present Hungry for Him Conference ’05, “Lord, We’re Coming Up to Another Level,’ will be held Oct. 19-22 at the Uniontown Holiday Inn, 700 W. Main St. Conference speakers include the Rev. Ray W. McCollum, the Rev. Eric Butler, Dr. J. David Minor and the Rev. Shelia Davis.
McCollum entered the ministry at age 43 after 25 years in the advertising profession. In 1987, a Bible study that began two years earlier became a church and McCollum entered full-time ministry.
In 2000, he accepted an assignment to travel and teach the Bible around the world, mostly ministering in Every Nation churches.
In May 2004, McCollum accepted the appointment of the Apostolic Team of Every Nation to be senior pastor of the Morning Star Church in Austin, Texas.
Butler is founder and senior pastor of True Vine Christian Center, a thriving, multi-racial, non-denominational church located in Englewood, N.J. Officials said, “He is an anointed conference speaker and teacher who trains leaders and works diligently at his world mission’s ministry. He is on a crusade to free God’s people from racial, social and spiritual bondage. Gifted with a creative yet versatile style, Pastor Butler uses his many talents to illustrate God’s word.’
Minor has served over 45 years as pastor of Gospel Tabernacle Church in Coudersport, where he issued an edifying stream of life-changing messages around the world through travel, tracts and trained ministry. Officials said, “Pastor Minor is esteemed as an apostle and prophet. His fatherly wisdom has risen up many great men of God and earned him the recognition of a ‘Shepherd of shepherds.’ His graciousness and message of love have dubbed him ‘the gentle prophet.”
Davis is co-founder and pastor of Newness of Life Ministries in Monessen with her husband, the Rev. Terry Davis. She has spoken at many conferences and fellowships. Officials said, “Her desire is to see the saints of God move deeper in worship and in their walk with God. Pastor Shelia is also the founder of Warring Women Ministry and the Daughters of Destiny.’
Itinerary for the conference includes: Oct. 19: 7:30 p.m. gospel concert featuring Spirit Filled Music Ministry of McKeesport. Oct. 20: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Prophetic Presbytery (must sign up via local church), 6:45 p.m. intercessory prayer, Butler and children’s ministry with YWAM for ages eight to 12.
Oct. 21: 9:15 a.m. intercessory prayer, Davis; 1:30 to 3 p.m. Prophetic Presbytery, 6:45 p.m. intercessory prayer, Minor, children’s ministry with YWAM; 12 to 2 a.m., Midnight Madness for teens and young adults. Oct. 22: 9 a.m. leadership breakfast with senior pastors, key leaders and wives (must sign up) and McCollum.
