Frances R. Tassone
Frances R. (Faye) Tassone, 91, of Republic, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, in Beverly Health Care Center, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Orient, Pa., a daughter of the late John Berisko and Mary Findish Berisko.
Faye was a member of Holy Rosary Church of Republic, and she was a former employee of Nick’s News in Republic.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony (Toots) Tassone in 1957, sisters, Helen Pele and Sophie Berisko, and a brother, Walter Berisko Sr.
Surviving are sisters, Mary Kubitza of Royal, Pa., Ann Matty of Virginia Beach, Va., and Rose Pisecki of Strongsville, Ohio; brothers, John Berisko of Republic and Henry Berisko of Uniontown, Pa., a Godchild, Susan Croftcheck of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Krepps of Republic; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday until 9:30 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held. A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m., in Holy Rosary Church, with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Bugay as Celebrant. Interment will be private for the family.
