State police are investigating a physical altercation between a Bullskin Township man and a Georges Township man in which a .22-caliber rifle was brandished Saturday at a residence along West Church Street.

According to state police, someone threw a rock, smashing the rear window of a vehicle owned by Susan Thompson of Confluence as it was parked along Rock Ridge Road Oct. 12 at 10:30 p.m.

State police said Vikki Cianni of Uniontown was cited for public drunkenness after she was found under the influence of alcohol along Center Avenue Friday at 1 p.m.

State police said no one was injured when a Jeep Grand Cherokee struck a vehicle operated by Patricia Yeager of Uniontown along Route 40 and then fled the scene Oct. 12 at 4:20 p.m.

One-car crash

State police said Dale Thomas Jr., 18, of Uniontown, suffered minor injuries when the vehicle he was driving crashed along Jumonville Road at 11:15 a.m. Friday.

Thomas was treated at Uniontown Hospital, police said.

According to state police, no one was injured when a vehicle operated by Melissa Burkholder, 25, of Uniontown swerved to miss a black bear and then struck a tree along Vance Mills Road Saturday at 9:44 p.m.

Man charged

State police said William Lint of Dawson was charged with harassment after he pushed Stephanie Corteal of Vanderbilt during an argument at the Vanderbilt post office Friday at 4 p.m.

Man injured

State police said Dennis McBeth, 49, suffered minor injuries when the vehicle he was driving swerved to miss a deer and crashed over an embankment along Route 711 Oct. 12 at 8:20 p.m.

Cars collide

State police said vehicles driven by Amanda Kassimer, 24, of Fairchance and Charles Coverston, 46, of Uniontown collided at the intersection of Morgantown Road and Elm Street Oct. 11 at 6:44 p.m.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries in the crash, state police said.

Southwest Regional Police reported that John P. Onisko of 417 Wayne St. was cited for public drunkenness and defiant trespass following an incident at the Mount Tabor Cemetery on Oct. 3.

Pamela Christopher of Henry Clay Township told state police that someone broke into her storage Tub Run storage shed and stole Christmas decorations and 15 gallons of nail polish sometime between Dec. of 2004 and Oct. 12.

State police said two mountain bicycles were found along Grange Road Oct. 11 at 4 p.m.

Rocks thrown

City police said vehicles driven by Ronald Russell of Uniontown and Grace Martin of Uniontown were struck with rocks while traveling on Lincoln Street at 9:40 p.m. Monday. The windshield and front fender of Russell’s vehicle and the windshield, front fender and door of Martin’s vehicle were damaged.

Road rage reported

City police said Kathy Harford of Dilliner reported that two white females in a Honda Civic made an obscene gesture to her and ran her off of Route 40 near Route 21 at 11:17 a.m. Monday.

She called 911 while following the Honda to a road off of North Gallatin Avenue. There, the Honda stopped and the driver got out and punched a window on Harford’s vehicle, police said. The incident is under investigation.

Home break-in reported

Witnesses told city police that two white women broke into Kathy Dowling’s house on Marion Street through the front door at 12:32 p.m. Monday, police said. Police did not say if anything was stolen.

DUI arrest

Kathryn Spak, 54, of Fairchance was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 857 and Church Street at 7:40 p.m. Monday, state police said.

Rider injured

State police said John T. Mehalek of Belle Vernon suffered moderate injuries when he struck a deer on Route 70 west at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday while he was riding a motorcycle without a helmet. He was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Car damaged

A deer carcass was thrown into the Morrell Volunteer Fire Department parking lot at 10:30 p.m. Monday and hit a car owned by Heather Bolish, causing minor damage, state police said.

Andrew Rohanna, 78, told state police that several tons of scrap metal was taken from his Smith Creek Road business sometime between midnight and 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Cash stolen

Someone stole $819 in cash from Linda Delsignore’s Wall Street residence in the village of Republic by breaking the basement door of the home sometime between 11:50 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday, state police said.

House struck

City police said a white female driver backed a red Buick over a fence outside of Valerie Carter’s Apple Street home and then struck her house with the car at 5:29 p.m. Monday. Carter confronted the driver, but she got back into her car and left. There were two passengers in the car. The incident is under investigation.

Break-in reported

City police said charges are pending against two juveniles for allegedly breaking into Asa Gillen’s Coolspring Street home and stealing a 20-inch Haro bicycle at 8:52 p.m. Monday. One of the juveniles was carrying a metal pipe. Gillen told police he fired a BB gun at the juveniles, but didn’t believe he hit them. A short time later, the juveniles returned and shot a window on Gillen’s house with a BB gun, police said.

Pistol stolen

Someone broke into a locked vehicle belonging to Charles Loring, 45, of Greensboro and stole Loring’s Colt Cobra Pistol .380-caliber valued at $131 from inside the vehicle at a Kiger Road location sometime between 3:30 and 6:45 p.m. Monday, state police said.

City police said a woman watching a friend’s 64 E. Fayette St. home reported finding a window broken and a TV stolen at 5:39 p.m. Monday. The matter is under investigation.

James Albert Wilson, 27, of 72 Lenox St., Uniontown, was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following a disturbance at a Butler Street residence at 4 p.m. Monday, city police said.

Southwest Regional Police reported that two juveniles, ages 14 and 15, were cited for harassment following an incident involving a 15-year-old victim on Mulberry Street Friday.
