Paul M. Berrish
Paul M. Berrish, 84, of Thompson No. 2, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, in Tara Hospital of Brownsville. He was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Gilmore, Pa., a son of the late Peter Berish and Mary Ustupsky Berish.
Paul was a member of Holy Rosary Church of Republic, Pa., a retired carpenter from Swift Industries of Elizabeth, Pa., and also retired from Maxwell Mine.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II, and a member of the Republic American Legion Post No. 590.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Alberta Yocabet Berrish; a daughter, Paulette Aliota and her husband, Lou of Erie, Pa.; a granddaughter, Tara Aliota; and sisters, Helen Mayeran of Romulus, Mich., and Margaret Maurin of the State of Tennessee.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday until 11:30 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held. A Funeral Mass follows at noon, in Holy Rosary Church, with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Bugay as Celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, where Military Rites will be accorded by Hopwood AMVETS Post 103.
