Virginia Tracy
Virginia Anderson Tracy, 86, of Smithfield, Pa., departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2005, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Sept. 12, 1919, in Pocohontas County, W.Va.
Virginia was a lifetime member of the Beulah Baptist Church of Smithfield, Pa., where she held many offices.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Cleveland Anderson Sr., and Lucy Florence Moats Anderson, husband, John William “Bill” Tracy, one stepsister, Regina Beasley Moore, three brothers, Fred, Joseph Henry and John Cleveland Anderson Jr., one son, Richard “Dickie” Tracy, and one grandson, Martin Tracy.
Left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Virginia Marie Lovelace and husband, Otis; four sons, John “Billy” Tracy and wife, Laura of Pittsburgh, Pa., Edwin Tracy and wife, Joan of Uniontown, Pa., Elliot “Duane” Tracy and wife, Yvonne “Bunny” of Clarksville, Pa., and Gary “Chipper” Tracy and wife, Sheila of Uniontown, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Tracy of Newark, N.J.; an adopted daughter, Christine Drummond of Pittsburgh, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Pearle Donovan Tracy and Corrine Tracy of Lake Lynn, Pa.; one aunt, Shynauna Gales of Connellsville, Pa.; one cousin, James Anderson of Stauton, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 55 step-great-grandchildren; 33 step great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will be received in the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m., and Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at Beulah Baptist Church, 29 High House Rd., Smithfield, Pa., until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with her Pastor, the Rev. Dewvaul w. Tracy Jr., officiating and assisted by the Rev. William H. Nichols. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
