Police seek robbery suspects

1 min read

Uniontown police are looking for two men who robbed the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Morgantown Street on Wednesday and made off with about $1,000. Five employees were in the restaurant when two black males wearing masks entered about 9:25 p.m. One had a silver handgun, police said.

After forcing the employees into a corner of the kitchen, one of the suspects served as a lookout while the other grabbed money out of a safe, police said.

They then ran out of the restaurant and fled through the parking lot, police said.

The suspects pushed two of the employees into the corner of the kitchen, but none of the workers was injured, police said.

Several police officers and a police dog searched for the suspects, but did not locate them.

Police ask that anyone with information about the robbery to call Detective Donald Gmitter at 724-430-2929, extension 310.
