Virginia A. (Mum-mum) Beal Houck, 78, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005. She was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Uniontown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Andrew (Mike) Houck on Jan. 7, 2003.

Mrs. Houck was employed as a secretary at the Houck Dance Studio for 32 years, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church and various animal care organizations.

Surviving are four children, Michael Andrew (Mickey) Houck and his wife, Connie of Uniontown, Dorothy Marie Houck Constable and her husband, Fred of Penn Craft, Pa., and Michele Houck Wilcosky and Melody Houck Laight and her husband, Brian, all of Uniontown; and six grandchildren, Trisha and Michael Houck, Demarie Constable, Brittany Wilcosky and Ariel and Bradlee Laight.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the JEROME W. SHELL FUNRAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Fayette Friends of Animals, 223 Searights Herbert Road, Smock, PA 15480, or the American Cancer Society.
