Ruth H. Devanney
Ruth H. Devanney, 83, of Chalk Hill, Pa., and formerly of Ohiopyle, Pa., went to be with her Lord on Friday, Oct. 21, 2005. She was born April 5, 1922, in Somerset County, Pa., daughter of the late Artie Nelson Sarver and Georgia Matilda Felton Sarver.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward Charles Devanney, and five brothers and three sisters, Merle, Victor, Howard, Edwin, Artie, Daisy, Verna and Hazel.
Surviving are three daughters, Cora (Becky) Devanney, Carolyn (Carol) Groover and husband, George, all of Chalk Hill, and Sandra Pfeffer and husband, Harry of Lancaster, Pa.; grandchildren, George and Kristy Groover of Connellsville, Harry and Patty Pfeffer III of Camp Hill, Pa., Elizabeth (Beth Ann) Pfeffer and Michael Pfeffer of Lancaster, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Madison Rose Everly and Erin and Ethan Pfeffer; a sister, Caroline Shell of Rogers, Ohio; and several sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday until 11 a.m., the hour of the service, with the Rev. Clifford Sarver officiating. Interment will follow in Sugar Loaf Cemetery, Sugar Loaf, Pa.
