Sophia D. Ducar, age 90, of Allison 2, Pa., passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 in the Uniontown Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born on Sept. 18, 1915, in Keisterville, Pa., daughter of the late Jozef and Dorothy Malincak Dudash.

Mrs. Ducar was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Brownsville.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Ducar Jr., who just passed away on Sept. 3, 2005; three sisters and seven brothers: Mary Podgorsky, Ann Muzichuck, Margaret Kovalchik, Paul Dudash, John Dudash, Adam Dudash, Stephen Dudash, Joseph Dudash, Andrew Dudash, and Jacob Dudash.

Mrs. Ducar was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by two sons: John Ducar and his wife, Linda of Brownsville, and James Ducar and his wife, Jackie of Allison, two grandchildren: Tracy Ducar of Spotsylvania, Va., and James Ducar Jr. of State College, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in THE SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa. today from 2 to 9 p.m. and Friday where a Panachida Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Brownsville, Pa. with the Rev. Fr. Jerome Botsko as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery. A Parastas Service will be held this evening at 7 p.m.
