Z. Constance “Connie” Meyers, 74 of Normalville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born Jan. 4, 1931 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Smith and Jennie R. Nicholson Prinkey.

Connie was a life-long resident of Normalville. She was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1948.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a sales clerk for the former Troutman’s Department Store in Connellsville and later as a library aide at the Springfield Township Elementary School.

Connie was a member of the Mill Run United Methodist Church.

Connie is survived by her loving family, her husband of 55 years, James W. Meyers Sr., her children: James W. Meyers Jr. and his wife, Susan and Judy May and her husband, John all of Mill Run, and Johnny Meyers and his wife, Vicki of Normalville, her grandchildren: Lindsey and Amanda Meyers, John II, Jeanette, Janelle, Jennie May, Beth Ann Wagner, and Zackary Meyers, and her sister, Royetta Putz of Normalville.

In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by an infant child, a sister, Regina Smith, and two brothers, Lucian and Sidney Prinkey.

Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Pa., where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Thomas P. Bonomo officiating.

A committal service and interment will follow in the Normalville Cemetery.
