Edith May Kuhta
Edith May Kuhta, 85, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2005, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center. She was born in Uniontown, February 14, 1920, daughter of the late John and Catherine Salapago May.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kuhta on September 19, 1986, her beloved daughter, Fredericka Kuhta DiSanto on July 18, 2004, six brothers, Pete, Sam, Frank, John, Anthony and Patsy and four sisters, Anna Beggs, Mary Michele, Frances Salapa and Katherine Tobak.
She is the last remaining member of her immediate family.
A 1938 graduate of North Union High School, Edith was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. She was employed by the former G.C. Murphy’s Co. in Uniontown for many years.
Edith is survived by her son-in-law, Michael DiSanto of Uniontown and several nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered today at 10 a.m. in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Kenneth Zaccagnini, V.F. as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. The Altar Society will meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. The DOLFI FUNERAL HOME of Uniontown, Pa., is in charge of arrangements.
