Fayette County acting maintenance manager, William J. Monstrola, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of Oct. 31. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights. Scheduled work includes:
Stream channel cleaning is planned for the bridge on New Salem/Fairbank Road.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout Fayette County.
Patching is planned for Hibbs Road and Skyline Drive.
Shoulder cutting is scheduled for Route 40 Bypass, Englishman Hill Road and Rich Hill Road.
Pipe flushing is planned for various state routes to the Searights/New Salem area.
Base repairs are scheduled for Springfield Pike.
Pipe extension work is planned for Wharton Furnace.
Pipe installation is planned for Rowes Run Road.
Crack sealing is planned for 119, Connellsville Road.
