Harold Hamrick

Harold Hamrick, age 90, of Point Marion, Pa., passed away Sunday, October 30, 2005, in Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown, Pa.

He was born July 25, 1915, in Terra Alta, West Virginia, son of Albert Hamrick and Louella Fraley Hamrick.

Harold, along with his wife, Mary, owned and operated Hamrick’s Store for over forty years where they were famous for their hoagies.

Harold also belonged to the Point Marion United Methodist Church, Point Marion Volunteer Fire Department and the Point Marion Senior Citizens Center.

Harold was awarded the Business and Professional Women’s “Citizen of the Year Award” in 1978.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Thelma Hamrick, and one brother, Orville Hamrick.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Snodgrass Hamrick; three daughters: Linda Seghi and her husband, Fred, of Uniontown, Pa., Lois Conner and her husband, Emory, of Mount Airy, Maryland, and Sara Hansen and her husband, Jerry, of Gaithersburg, Maryland; four grandchildren: Angela Woodward, Lisa Tamburo, Chris Callahan and Ryan Callahan; one great granddaughter, Lisa Callahan; and one great grandson, Josh Tamburo.

Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main Street, Point Marion, Pa., on Tuesday, November 1, from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 2, until 11 a.m., when Services will be held in the Funeral Home with the Rev. Karen L. Gray officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.

Point Marion Volunteer Fire Department will hold Services in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
