Mary Mowl Rhodes
Mary E. (Mowl) Rhodes, age 64, of Beallsville, Pa., died Saturday, October 29, 2005, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa., following a brief illness.
She was born September 3, 1941, in Eighty-Four, Pa., the daughter of Charles Mowl and Marie (Vanvoorhis) Mowl.
Mary was a 1960 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School.
Mrs. Rhodes was a member of Garwood Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker and had been a foster parent for many children through the years. She enjoyed children and spending time with her family!
On March 2, 1964, she married Carl Rhodes Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters: Carol Rhodes Jacoby of Bentleyville, Pa., Mellissa Rhodes DeFabbo of Marianna, Pa., and Brandy Rhodes of Beallsville, Pa.; three sons: Carl Rhodes Jr. and his wife, Ilene, of Asheboro, North Carolina, Camara Rhodes and Bradley Rhodes both of Beallsville, Pa.; three sisters: Donna “Punkin” Mowl of Beallsville, Sandra “Sondy” Mowl Sienkiel of Washington, Pa., and Barbara Mowl Hermann of Fredericktown, Pa.; one brother, Charles “Chuck” Mowl of Vestaburg, Pa.; five grandchildren: Ilene Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, Codie Rhodes, Shelby Rhodes, and Shannon Jacoby; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street (Route 40), Beallsville, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cliff Reynolds officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
