James L. “Jim” “Sta” Stefanik, 51, of Orange Park, Fla., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005. He was born March 28, 1954, in Uniontown, Pa.

Jim was the co-owner and operator of the Arco Gas and Service Station on Connellsville Street in Uniontown, for many years. He then moved to Orange Park, Fla., and has been residing there for the last 20 years. He was an auto mechanic and enjoyed showing and working on cars.

Jim was predeceased by his brother, A. J. Stefanik III and his mother, Elaine B. Speshock Stefanik.

He loved spending time with his family and his beloved cats. Surviving are his wife, Robin Zavatson Stefanik; two sons, Ian Stefanik of Orange Park, Fla., and Richard McIntyre and fianc?, Jennifer Mireles of Jacksonville, Fla.; his father, A. J. Stefanik and his wife, Dr. Jackie Stefanik of Farmington, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Bob Zavatson and sister-in-law, Mary Anne Zavatson, both of Uniontown, Pa.; two nieces, Karen Zavatson of Orange Park, Fla. and Kara Zavatson of Morgantown, W.Va.; and his faithful little cats, Buster and Lucie.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa. on Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Everyone is invited to meet directly at Saint Mary (Nativity) R.C. Church on North Mount Vernon Avenue in Uniontown, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at 10 a.m., when a Mass of Christian Burial will be held, with the Rev. Fr. Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Park Place Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
