Watson-Shuttlesworth
Anna Lauren Shuttlesworth and Philip Spencer Watson were united in marriage at Whyel Chapel, Jumonville. The Rev. Marshall Shelly of Trinity Episcopal Church, Solebury, officiated at the Aug. 21, 2004 ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Pamela Shuttlesworth of Mulberry Street, Hopwood. She is the granddaughter of Hugh R. and the late Annah Murphy Haney of Point Marion and Eugene and the late Helen Marie Ice Shuttlesworth of Morgantown, W.Va.
The bridegroom is the son of Peter and Anne Watson of Long Crendon, England.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a fitted gown with a square neckline and shaped shoulder straps in ivory duchess satin overlaid with ivory lace detailed with sequins. Her fingertip veil was attached to a sterling silver tiara set with Swarovski crystals and brushed silver lilies of the valley.
Matron of honor was Sheri Turner, friend of the bride. Flower girls were Rowan and Lucy Watson, nieces of the groom.
Best man was Christopher Vince, friend of the groom. Ushers were Brian Watson, brother of the groom, and Thomas Shuttlesworth, brother of the bride.
A reception followed at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.
The bride is a 1987 graduate of Morgantown High School and a 1992 graduate of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She is a conductor and pianist currently employed with the national tour of Peter Pan.
The groom graduated from Aylesbury Grammar School, Aylesbury, England, in 1983 and completed a degree in civil engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, Manchester, England, in 1987. Employed as a freelance theatrical lighting designer, he recently completed work on a production of Chicago in Taipei, Taiwan.
The couple went on delayed honeymoon in England and Paris.
They are residing in New Rochelle, N.Y.
