Martha L. Polander, age 70, of Jefferson, Pa., died Monday, September 5, 2005 in her home. Mrs. Polander worked as a sewer at Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg, Pa. and was a houseparent at the Youth Development Center in Waynesburg.

Surviving are three sons: Robert M. Polander Jr. of Washington, Pa., Daniel R. Polander of Rixeyville, Va., and Jeffrey G. Polander of Jefferson, Pa.; two grandchildren; a great grandson, and a great grandchild due in a few weeks; two brothers: James Lutes of Canonsburg, Pa., Walter R. Lutes of Warrenton, Va.; three sisters: Bessie Holland of Luray, Va., Dora Vassallo of Masontown, Pa. and Dolores Janco-Watson of Carmichaels, Pa.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa., Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor.

Services will be held on Thursday at a time to be announced. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, Pa.
