Margaret E. (Arthur) Vaccaro
Margaret E. (Arthur) Vaccaro, age 91, of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2005, in her home with her family by her bedside. She was born May 20, 1914, in Hazelton, W.Va., the daughter of William T. Arthur and Callie B. Van Sickle Arthur.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Louis R. Vaccaro, (to whom she had been married to for 70 years at the time of his death), two brothers, Byron Arthur and Charles W. Arthur, and a sister, Azile Sissler.
Mrs. Vaccaro was an active member of the McClellandtown Presbyterian Church serving there as a Sunday School Teacher. She was a 1932 graduate of South Union Township High School and she had worked at the Uniontown Hospital as an EKG Supervisor and was one of the original organizers of the Silver Threads of McClellandtown.
She is survived by these children: Arthur Vaccaro and his wife, Lois of McClellandtown, Nicholas F. Vaccaro and his wife, Joyce of Para, Ohio, and Mary Ann Saluga and her husband, Paul of Uniontown, Pa.; Grandchildren: Lisa Bailey, Denise Barnhart, Richard Vaccaro, Nick Vaccaro, Michael Vaccaro, Maggie Vaccaro, Douglas Saluga and Julie Nagy; 14 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Hileman of Big Rapids, Michigan.
Family and friends will be received in the H. DAVID MCELROY FUNERAL HOME, 803 Main Street, McClellandtown, Pa., on Friday, September 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the McClellandtown Presbyterian Church.
Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Keith Conover and Pastor Nicholas Cook officiating. Interment follows in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa.
