Queen “Esther” Henderson
Queen “Esther” Henderson, age 96, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Sunday morning, September 4, 2005, in Cherry Tree Nursing Home, Uniontown, Pa. She was born June 20, 1909, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late James Johnson and Effie Trent Johnson.
She was a long time member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William O. Henderson, one daughter, Dorothy “Patsy” Winfrey, one grandson, Morgan Henderson, five brothers, John, Louis, Isiah, Trent and Tim Johnson.
Surviving are two sons: Franklin L. Henderson and wife, Nelda, William E. Henderson and wife, Mary Alice; one sister, Dora Hall, and one sister-in-law, Beatrice Johnson; grandchildren: Franklin E. Henderson, Doris Hardy, Ellsworth, Queenie, Charles, Dwight and Rodger Henderson, Marsha and Richard Peeks, Warren, Jerry and wife, Yolanda Henderson, Rev. Albert Winfrey and wife, Lisa, Rev. Vincent Winfrey and wife, Marilyn, Calvin and wife, Marsha Winfrey, Sidney, Virginia, Donald, Patricia and Lisa Winfrey; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 E. Main Street, Uniontown, Pa. on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held on Saturday, at 11 a.m. in the Mount Olivet Baptist Church, Uniontown, Pa.
Interment, will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
