Mary Isabella (Zakutansky) Zapotosky,
Mary Isabella (Zakutansky) Zapotosky, age 87, of Mentor, Ohio, formerly of Leckrone, Pa., died on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 in Altercare Nursing Center, Mayfield, Ohio. She was born on September 15, 1917, in Collier, Pa., a daughter of George and Mary (Gera) Zakutansky.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Steve F. Zapotosky, brothers, George and Mike Zakutansky, and sisters, Anna Franklin, Agnes Cavalcante, Margaret Romigh, Catherine Penich, Evelyn Zakutansky, Dorothy Kringeta and Susan Dracula.
Mary was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, Pa., a member of the Saint Mary’s Rosary Society, and was a graduate of German Township High School, class of 1935.
She enjoyed playing bingo, was a great cook and baker and a wonderful mother.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Joyce Ann Sabe and husband, Thomas of Mentor, Ohio, Mary Pat Everhart and husband, Nelson of Warren, Ohio, Steve M. Zapotosky and wife, Beverly of East Lake, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC. A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., today from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 10, 2005, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Donald P. Trexler as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa. St. Mary’s Rosary Society will recite the Rosary this evening at 7:30 p.m., in the Funeral Home Chapel.
