Grooms-Winfrey
Cynthia Ann Winfrey, daughter of Sidney Winfrey of Uniontown and Brenda Holland of Morgantown, W.Va., became the bride of Reginald Raymond Grooms at a ceremony performed on July 23. The groom’s parents are Reginald Grooms of Cardale and Darlene Ennab of Uniontown.
The Rev. Vincent L. Winfrey Sr. officiated at the double-ring ceremony held in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Uniontown.
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Donald Winfrey, wore an Italian matte satin short sleeved A-line empire gown with delicate pearl and sequin lace trim accenting the V-neck, bodice and bottom edge of the hemline. The semi-cathedral detachable train was embellished with pearl and sequined lace trim. She wore a pearl headpiece with a waist-length illusion veil.
Dawnisha Smith was the maid of honor. Taylor Johns, Terine Johns, Felicia Murray, Angela Patrick, Janelle Winfrey and Melissa Winfrey were bridesmaids. Zayna Ennab and Justyce Winfrey were flower girls.
Richard Grooms, the brother of the groom, served as best man.
Ushers were Jason Boone, Lindsey Greer, Burnell Harris Jr., David Winfrey, all of Uniontown, and Richard Jefferson Jr. of Morgantown, W.Va., brother of the bride.
A reception for 530 guests followed at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 in Uniontown.
The bride attended Uniontown Area High School and is employed at Barbara Y. Johns the Boulevard Beauty Salon.
The groom also attended Uniontown Area High School and is employed at Gabriel’s warehouse.
They are making their home in Uniontown.
