Bernard J. “Chipper” Hice, age 44, of Republic, Pa., passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2005, in Tara Hospital at Brownsville, Pa. He was born January 29, 1961, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Donald B. Hice and Jane B. (Rockwell) Hice both of whom are now deceased.

“Chipper”, who had been confined to his wheelchair for many years, had many friends and although not being able to use his hands normally, had a love for spending time on his computer.

He is survived by two brothers: Donald K. Hice of Jefferson, Pa., and Barry G. Hice of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister, Colleen L. Frankhouser of Adah, Pa.; his best friend and caretaker, Lynn Mitchell and her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Amanda; his beloved dog, “Charlie”; and many nephews and nieces.

Family and friends will be received in the H. DAVID McELROY FUNERAL HOME, 803 Main Street, McClellandtown, Pa., on Tuesday, September 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 14, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service. Pastor Timothy D. Tanner of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church will officiate.

Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa.
