Charles A. Zabrosky
Charles A. Zabrosky, 55, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., after a long battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 17, 1950, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Charles Zabrosky of Carmichaels, Pa., and Santa Ciampanelli Zabrosky, who died in 1976.
Charles had a B.S. degree in mining engineering from Penn State University in 1973, and a Masters’ degree from West Virginia University in engineering of mines in 1990. He was a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, and former President of R.A.G. Pa. Services Corporation. He was currently Director of Special Projects Foundation Coal Corporation.
He was a member of St. Hugh Church of Carmichaels, Pa., St. Hugh Ushers, Knights of Columbus, Greene County, Historical Society, Society of Mining Engineers, and MRAC of West Virginia University.
He enjoyed hunting and Penn State football and family activities.
Surviving, in addition to his father are his wife, Christine Kalasky Zabrosky, whom he married on Sept. 16, 1972; a son, Matthew Zabrosky and wife, Tara of Englishtown, N.J.; daughters, Lauren Waltz and husband, Jonathon of Boalsburg, Pa., and Linette Zabrosky, at home; a sister, Charlotte Conn and husband, Bill of Uniontown, Pa.; and his stepmother, Stella Zabrosky.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the PAUL M. LESASKO FUNERAL HOME INC., Paul M. Lesako Funeral Director and Supervisor, where a prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m., in St. Hugh Church, with the Rev. Fr. John Bauer as celebrant. Interment will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m., in the funeral home. (724) 966-5100.
