Uniontown church to host Rosary Walk
St. George Maronite Church Altar/Rosary Society of Uniontown is hosting its annual Rosary Walk on Sunday at 2 p.m. Officials said, “The intention of this walk is to the glory and honor of Mary, the Mother of Jesus.’
The event begins by reciting the first decade at the Rosary Garden at St. George Maronite Church on Lebanon Terrace. The participants will then walk or ride to St. John Byzantine Church, St. John the Evangelist Church, St. Therese Church and on to St. Mary’s Church all in Uniontown.
The participants will then caravan by car to St. Joseph Church on Walnut Hill road to conclude with a litany to the Blessed Mother at the outdoor shrine. Benediction will follow in the sanctuary.
Participants are encouraged to travel by car as well as walk. They may park a car at St. Mary Church lot and get a ride to St. George before the walk.
Officials said, “As we send up our intercessions to our Blessed Mother, we invite our entire community to join us on this beautiful day of prayer.’
