QUILT SHOW AT PERRYOPOLIS PIONEER DAYS will be held Oct. 1 and 2 at Washington Grist Mill in Sampy Park. The categories are appliqu?d, embroidered, cross-stitch, pieced, vintage, whole cloth and knotted. Afghans, both knitted and crocheted, will be accepted. Other items also being accepted are as follows: wall hangings, pillows (cushions), crochet and/or knitted items. All articles for display should be delivered to The Old State Bank Museum, Perryopolis, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 26 through Sept. 29. Items will be judged and will receive ribbons for first, second and third place. A trophy will be given for best of show. There will also be a People’s Choice Award. BELLE VERNON AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION meeting this month will be Monday at the District Administration Office at 270 Crest Ave., Belle Vernon. The agenda meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at 8 p.m. The meetings are open to the general public.
