Fannie Messina, 95, of Painesville, Ohio, died Saturday, September 17, 2005, in Lake East Hospital, Painesville, Ohio. She was born November 20, 1909, in Herbert, Pa.

Fannie lived in Middletown, Ohio and Newboro, Pa. before moving to Painesville more than 30 years ago.

Mrs. Messina was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, and duck pin bowling.

Surviving are a son: Charles and wife, Shirley Messina of Mentor, Ohio; grandchildren: Matthew and wife, Denise Messina, DDS, of Ohio; John and wife, Lindsay Messina of Pennsylvania; and great grandchildren: Caitlin, Brian, Michael and Daniel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel, a son, Samuel M., seven sisters and five brothers.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2005, in the BRUNNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 8466 MENTOR AVENUE, MENTOR, OHIO 44060. (440) 255-3401. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville, Ohio. Interment in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
