Carmine Sessa, 87, of Brownsville, Pa., died Wednesday, September 14, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. He was born on November 21, 1917, in Calvinico, Italy, the son of the late Raffaele and Carmela Citro Sessa.

Carmine was self-employed in the Bakery business for 25 years in Brownsville, Pa.

He belonged to the Historic Church of Saint Peter, Brownsville, Pa., and the Sons of Italy Frank Ricco Lodge 731.

He was predeceased by his wife, Albina DiVito Sessa, brothers, Phillip, Michael and Raffaele, sisters, Anna, Guida, Rosina, twin sister, Jenny, and a step-son, Harry Taylor.

Carmine is survived by his wife, Eva Elaine Wix Taylor Sessa; son, Raffie and wife, Shelly of Peter’s Township, Pa.; grandson: Michael; step-son: Richard Taylor and wife, Bonny of Oklahoma; step-grandchildren: Keith Taylor and wife, Julie and their children, Brandon and James, Mark and wife, Judith Creagh and their children, Victoria, and Andrew, Amy and husband Chris Buchheit; a wonderful caregiver: Sherry Jacobs.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 PARK STREET, BROWNSVILLE, PA., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 23, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Historic Church of Saint Peter, Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Peter Cemetery. Brownsville Sons of Italy men’s and women’s Lodge will have services on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
