Fire damages home

The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of a Wednesday fire that destroyed a Rich Hill Road home in Bullskin Township. Township firefighters along with Connellsville Township and Everson volunteer fire companies responded to the 2:54 p.m. blaze. Property owner Rich Lilley said neighbors alerted him to the fire and when he arrived and found smoke and flames coming from several areas of the rented home. Bullskin Township Volunteer Fire Co. Capt. Dale Peck said that no one was in the home when emergency crews arrived at the scene. Fayette EMS also responded to the fire call. Amanda Wingrove and Dusty Rhodes of the Bullskin VFD hose down the remaining embers.
