AUTUMN COOKING CLASS will be held at the Uniontown Public Library meeting rooms, second floor, on Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to noon. Joani of Joani’s Cakes and Candies will teach a class on creating chocolate confections. The hands-on chocolate making class will be followed by a luncheon of soup and sandwiches. Participants get to take home what they make in class. Cost is $15 per person. To make reservations, call the library at 724-437-1165. Friends of the Library is sponsoring the event. WALTERSBURG CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE, Route 51 at 1810 Pittsburgh Road, will hold a free car wash on Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Refreshments will be provided for those waiting for their car. UNIONTOWN SENIOR CITIZENS monthly dance, “Fall Foliage, Autumn Leaves Dance’ will be held from 7 to 10 .m. Monday at the VFW Post 47, f47 W. Main St., Uniontown. Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded.
HOPWOOD GARDEN CLUB will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hopwood Fire Department parking lot to carpool to Topo’s Restaurant. A club member will present a fall craft workshop.
Autumn extravaganza will be held Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion post 51, North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown. Various vendors will be featured. Refreshments will be sold and a Chinese auction featured. All proceeds benefit the Crime Victims Center, 109 W. Fayette St., Uniontown. There is a small admission charge.
