SALVATION ARMY is taking applications for Christmas assistance on the following dates: Oct. 6, 7, 20, 21, and also on Nov. 10 and 11 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army, 32 W. Fayette St., Uniontown. Applicants must bring proof of address; eligible Zip codes are 15456, 15465, 15472 and 15401. In addition, identification (Social Security) must be provided for all household members. Distribution of Christmas food baskets and treasures for children gifts up to age 12 will be given on Dec. 17. Anyone interested must apply during the above-mentioned dates.
