John J. Bodnar
John J. Bodnar, 39, of Millsboro, Pa., passed away Monday, September 26, 2005 of injuries sustained in a boating accident on September 25, 2005. He was born on December 5, 1965, in Waynesburg, Pa., the son of Cynthia and Albert Giles of Millsboro and John and Rona Bodnar of Roscoe, Pa.
He was a manager/owner at Fredericktown Butcher Shop, Fredericktown, Pa., for 29 years and he was a member of First Presbyterian Church, California, Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nanette (Cyr) Bodnar.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Hannah, Mercedes and Julia and one son, Elton all at home. He is also survived by sisters: Dana and husband Mark Giovanelli, Cynthia and husband, Robbie Stopko both of Millsboro, and Liberty Bodnar Mosher of California, Pa., and a brother, Joel Bodnar of Charleroi, Pa.
Friends will be received in the FRANK BURKUS FUNERAL HOME, 26 Mill Street, Millsboro, Pa., from 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2005. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 30, 2005, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Thomas of Calvary Chapel of Fredericktown, Pa. officiating.
He will be cremated according to his wishes. A Burial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 in Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro, Pa., with Rev. Lim and Rev. John Thomas officiating.
