Harry H. Nixon Jr.
Harry H. Nixon Jr., 87, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, in the Lafayette Manor Nursing Center. He was born June 29, 1918, in Fairchance, Pa., the son of the now late Harry H. Nixon Sr., and Helen Darby Nixon.
In addition to his parents, a daughter, Patricia Nixon, and a sister, Arleen Brubach also preceded him in death.
Harry was a graduate of Uniontown High School Class of 1936, followed by his enlistment into the U.S. Army during World War II, where he served in the European Theater of Operation. He worked as an office manager for Nabisco. Harry has been self-employed as a public accountant for over 50 years. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post No. 47 and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Esther Lewis Nixon; two sons, James Nixon and his wife, Lynda of Port Hill, Pa., and Lance Nixon and his wife, Tara of Coraopolis, Pa.; a daughter, Arleen DeHart of Smithfield; and nine grandchildren..
