Burglary reported State police said Katina Stewart of Lemont Furnace reported that several electronic appliances, jewelry and other items were stolen from her Maple Street home between 9:30 Sunday and 4:20 a.m. Monday. Van stolen
A green 1996 Chevrolet Astro Van bearing Pennsylvania registration FWC-7615 and owned by Robert Pickford Jr. of Dunbar was stolen from the VFW parking lot between Sept. 9 and 14, state police said.

An exhaust system was stolen from a vehicle owned by Richard Maust of Smock in the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot at 8 p.m. Sunday, state police said.

Assault arrest
David Dunseath Jr., 48, of Dawson Avenue, Denbo was charged with simple assault and harassment at 10 p.m. Sunday after he allegedly struck his girlfriend, borough police said. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in the Washington County Prison on $5,000 bond.

Equipment theft
Four chain saws and a trimmer owned by Dave Striner Lumber of Connellsville were stolen from Broadford Road between 5 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday, according to state police.

Drivers hurt
State police reported that Melissa Hager of Smock and Melissa Drennon of Dunbar were taken to Uniontown Hospital with moderate injuries they suffered in an accident on a township road at 5 p.m. Monday.

Cash was stolen from the office of the Dollar Tree store in Fayette Plaza on Pittsburgh Street between 9:10 p.m. Monday and 5:55 a.m. Tuesday, state police said.

A black 1997 Parker trailer owned by Timothy Harvey of Fredericktown was stolen from the rear of Scenery Hill Hardware between 4 p.m. Sept. 23 and 9 a.m. Sept. 24, state police said. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the station at 724-223-5200.

Woman cited
Carol G. King, 39, of Scottdale was cited with disorderly conduct following a disturbance at a Kelly Street residence in Terrace Acres at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, state police said. Police said the incident stemmed from a problem on a school bus between King’s son and a 10-year-boy who lives at the Kelly Street residence.

Wendy Baker, 33, of Varndell Street, Uniontown, was arrested on a bench warrant from Fayette County and Tracy Dorsey, 43, of Pershing Court, Uniontown, was arrested on a bench warrant from Butler County along on North Gallatin Avenue at 1:12 a.m. Wednesday, city police said.

City police said a laptop computer was stolen from the truck of a repairman who was fixing lights at the A-Plus on Morgantown Street at 12:26 p.m. Tuesday.

No one hurt
State police reported that vehicles driven by Mary Shimko of Lemont Furnace and Morgan Curstead of Uniontown were involved in an accident at the intersection of Turkeyfoot Road and Main Street at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Curstead had two child passengers. No injuries were reported in the accident, according to police.

Jarrod Lee Crossland, 24, East Askren Street, Uniontown, was cited with public drunkenness after he was seen allegedly staggering out of Sails Inn on North Gallatin Avenue at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, city police said.

Charges pending
City police said a citation is pending against a Uniontown man for allegedly hitting Donald Walters of Uniontown at 29 E. Kerr St. at 12:06 a.m. Wednesday. Walters had a bleeding cut under his eye, police said.

Vehicle accident
State police said Thomas Androsky of Uniontown lost control of his vehicle, hit a utility pole and then went into a ditch at the intersection of South Mill Road and Ralph-New Salem Road at 10:10 p.m. Sunday. He was not injured.

Guns stolen
State police said a variety of guns were stolen from Floyd E. Miller Jr.’s Indian Head Road residence between 1 p.m. Sept. 21 and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Stolen were a .22-caliber Winchester pump-action rifle with a scope, 12-gauge Higgins single-barrel shotgun, 30-.06-caliber Remington pump-action rifle with a scope, 30.03-caliber Winchester lever-action rifle with a scope and a black Marksman pellet pistol that resembles a .45-caliber handgun. Police said they don’t know how the home was entered, but a steel gun cabinet was pried open to steal the guns.
The theft remains under investigation.
