Brigid Carolyn McMurrough
Brigid Carolyn McMurrough, 77, formerly of Uniontown, died September 21, 2005 in Mariner Health of Bethesda, Sliver Spring, Maryland. She was born on March 23, 1928, in Footedale, to John and Johanna Carey McMurrough. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Church, Uniontown and graduated from St. John High School – 1945. After graduation she relocated to the Washington D. C. area.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the following siblings: John and Jim in childhood; Frank McMurrough; Regina McMurrough Gearing and her husband Frank; Mary Alice McMurrough Hackney and her husband George, Jr.; Patricia McMurrough; and Sister Julia McMurrough, SCS.
Brigid is survived by one sister Margaret McMurrough Goodwin and her husband Richard and their children Patrick and Anne. Also surviving are a great-aunt Pauline Carey of Canton, Ohio, and her daughter Kathy. Other surviving nieces and nephews include: Mary Patricia Hackney; Richard Hackney and wife Joanne; James Hackney; Susan Hackney Mongell and husband Lewis; Barbie Carrara; William Hackney and wife Debbie; Julie Hackney and fianc? Robb Farquhar; Tom Gearing and wife Mary Ellen; Shawn Gearing and wife Mary Win; Beth Gearing Snow and husband Will; Chris Gearing; Johanna Mongell; Katharine Mongell; Theodore Mongell; Tim Mongell; Erin Carrara; Casey Carrara; Amanda Hackney; William Snow; Alexander Snow; Kayleigh Carrara; Jason Santore; Ben Santore; and Isabella Santore.
Brigid was a member of St. John The Evangelist Church, Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Md.
Miss McMurrough was employed as a secretary for the United States Air Force Headquarters at the Pentagon, at the Academy in Colorado Springs, and in Weisbaden, Germany. She also worked for the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in Washington, D.C.
