Andrew and LuAnne Abraham of Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jodi Anne Abraham of Ashburn, Va., to Eric David Porter of Arlington, Va., son of David and Sandra Porter of Scottdale. The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 2003 graduate of St. Vincent College with a bachelor of science degree in psychology. She also earned a master’s degree in 2004 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is currently a doctoral student in school psychology at Indiana University. She is also an intern with the Loudoun County Public Schools.

Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Southmoreland Senior High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Allegheny College at Meadville. He also earned a master’s degree in applied mathematics in 2004 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a statistician with the United States Department of Agriculture.

The wedding is set for Sept. 9.
