David and Jan McGinnis of Smithtown Road, Morgantown, W.Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Marie McGinnis to Anthony Shayne Williams, son of the Rev. Bill and Missy Williams of Airshaft Road, Rices Landing. The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Morgantown High School and is employed at First Exchange Bank of Morgantown.

Her fiance is a graduate of Carmichaels High School and attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. He is currently pursuing ministerial licensing with the Church of God and is employed at Wesbanco Bank in Morgantown.

A wedding for spring 2007 is being planned.
