Woman arrested Dellaray Snow, 39, of West Mifflin was arrested and placed in Fayette County Prison after she was found to be in possession of marijuana while visiting an inmate at SCI Fayette at 12:45 p.m. Thursday. Police said Snow was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of contraband on prison property. She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Michael Defino and placed in prison after failing to post a $5,000 straight cash bond, police said.

Man arrested

State police said Anthony Gabeletto, 24, of Masontown was arrested after he allegedly led police on a vehicle chase beginning near the Searights housing projects and ending near trails in a field near Scott Lane.

Police said Gabeletto was driving a 1987 Suzuki Samurai. Gabeletto, according to police, was charged with fleeing to elude a police officer, driving under the influence, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana, in addition to six summary traffic violations.

Window scratched

Nancy Golden of 186 N. Gallatin Ave. told city police she found a large cinder block sitting next to her vehicle at 9:41 a.m. Friday. Police said the right rear window of Golden’s vehicle had several scratches.

Dog found

Felicia Delorenzo of Uniontown told city police a stray dog wandered into her 73 E. Wine St. residence at 11:22 p.m. Friday. Police said the large dog, which appeared to be a retriever, had no identification and was removed from the second floor of the residence. The SPCA was notified, police said.

Girl missing

City police said James Baker of 95 Millview St. reported his 14-year-old daughter, Kaylan, missing at 9 a.m. Saturday. Baker told police his daughter was last seen around 7 p.m. Thursday.

Man charged

City police said Michael Soroka of 52 W. Askren St. was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred on West Askren Street at 1:10 a.m. Saturday.

Man released

City police said John Hart, no address available, was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond after he was pulled over in the city for having illegal tinted windows and a background check showed he was wanted by the Wharton County Police Department. Police said Hart was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Dennis following the incident, which occurred at 12:40 p.m. Friday.

East Bethlehem Twp.

Person shot

State police said a 27-year-old Jefferson man was shot by an unknown male on Front Street near the intersection of Crawford Road at 10: 30 p.m. Friday. The victim was flown to an area hospital for treatment, police said. Police said they withheld the name of the victim for his protection. Anyone with information relative to the shooting is asked to call state police in Washington at 724-223-5200.

Charges filed

Borough police filed simple assault and harassment charges against John Henry Fine, 44, of 15 Washington Mills after a domestic incident at his residence at 3 a.m. March 25. Police alleged that Fine arrived at his home intoxicated and then assaulted his wife, Kristen A. Fine. Charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Dwight K. Shaner’s office.

Robbery attempted

Michael Kaye Aeschbacher, 34, of 63 Beeson Ave., Marianna, was charged with robbery and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William Pelkey after he allegedly attempted to rob the Global Beer Store, 375 Front St., township police said. Victim Frank Paletta of Vestaburg reported to police that Aeschbacher said he was armed with a gun when he attempted to rob the store, but police said no gun was found at the scene or on Aeschbacher when he was taken into custody. Police said Aeschbacher fled the scene prior to police arrival and was found at Apartment 4, 405 Front St., Fredericktown, and taken into custody at that time.

Two arraigned

Cathy Jean Coleman, 48, and Douglas George Myers, 49, both of Perryopolis, were arraigned on charges of simple assault before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham and lodged in the Fayette County Prison after failing to post $5,000 percentage bond for their alleged involvement in a physical altercation on Crabapple Road at 9 p.m. Friday, state police said.

Harassment charges filed

Cordell Popielarczyk, 33, of Fredericktown was charged with harassment after he allegedly struck Melanie White, 39, of Fredericktown in the face and pulled her hair at 81 Willow St. at 9:54 p.m. Saturday, said state police.
