Phillip Maslanich, age 46, of Fredericktown, Pa., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2006. He attended California University of Pennsylvania, was employed as a chef at Nemacolin Country Club and also lived and worked as a chef in several restaurants in Waukegan, Illinois.

He is survived by his mother, Mary (Hadzega) Maslanich; sons: Zachary Maslanich of Southern Illinois University and Nathan Maslanich of Waukegan, Illinois; brothers: John S. (and Eleanor) Maslanich of North Royalton, Ohio, and David (and Terry) Maslanich of Ottsville, Pa.; three nieces and one nephew.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Frank S. Burkus Funeral Home, 26 Mill Street, Millsboro, Pa.
