Pearl Donovan Hart Tracy, 4378 Morgantown Road, Lake Lynn, Pa., passed Friday, March 31, 2006, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia, after a brief illness. Mrs. Tracy was born in Mineral, Virginia (Louisa County), July 30, 1920, to the late John R. Hart and Pearly De Hart, formerly of York Run, Pa.

Mrs. Tracy served on many boards and held many leadership positions with the Appalachian Community Center; Smithfield Pa. Area Community; her home church, Beulah Baptist Church, Smithfield; Youghiogheny Western Baptist Association (YWBA); Pennsylvania Baptist State Convention Inc. (PBSC); Congress of Christian Education-YWBA; Life Member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the PBSC and the Women’s Home and Foreign Mission-YWBA.

Mrs. Tracy was also a member of the NAACP.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Forest Tracy; her daughter, Yvonne Brown; a grandson, Ricky Paul; her parents, John R. and Pearly De Hart; two sisters, Justine Ramsey McClelland and Dolores Washington; two brothers, Charles and Robert Hart.

She leaves to cherish her memory seven children (which include two sets of twins): Patricia White, Philadelphia, Pa., Forrest Jr. (Josephine) Tracey, Riverdale, Maryland, Donna (Oscar) Porter, Harper Woods, Michigan, John (Norma) Tracy, Natrona Heights, Pa., JoAn Tracy, Harrisburg, Pa., David (Carla) Tracy, Pittsburgh, Pa., Daniel (Karen) Tracy, Mount Pleasant, Pa.; 18 Grandchildren; 23 Great-Grandchildren; 14 Great-Great Grandchildren; a sister, Corrine Hart Tracy, Lake Lynn, Pa.; four brothers: John W. (Lois) Hart, Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Odell Hart, Washington, D.C., Bertram (Laverne) Hart and Royal (Rose) Hart both of Aliquippa, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Melanie Sledge, Olyphant Furnace One, Pa.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held at the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday, April 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 7 at 11 a.m. at the YOUGHIOGHENY WESTERN BAPTIST ASSOCIATION (YWBA), 624 Duck Hollow Road (at the Corner of Route 21 and McClellandtown Road), Uniontown, Pa. Viewing is available prior to the Homegoing Service from 9 until 10:45 a.m. at the YWBA Center.

Interment will follow the services in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, Route 119, Smithfield, Pa.
