Stella Mae (Ankrom) Phillips, age 96, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, died at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2006, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg. She was born on Saturday, February 12, 1910, in Jefferson Township, Greene County, Pa., the Daughter of Albert Leslie Ankrom and Rose Alice (Huffman) Ankrom.

Mrs. Phillips spent most of her life in Greene County where she was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Church.

She was a Homemaker.

On January 2, 1926, she married James M. Phillips. He died January 10, 1982.

Also preceding her in death were her Parents and two Sisters, Mary Phillips Pitcock and Ola Phillips.

Surviving are one Daughter and her spouse, Shirley P. and Walter Tunney of West Brownsville, Pa.; one Foster Daughter, Cora Stull of Pennsylvania; three Granddaughters: Tracey Killius, Cynthia Fox and Nicole Stull; five Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation was held at the MILLIKEN AND THROCKMORTON FUNERAL HOME INC., 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, Pa., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Funeral Director, on Wednesday, March 22, from Noon until 2 p.m. Services began at 2 p.m. Pastor John R. Dorean officiated.

Burial followed in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township, Greene County, Pa.

Family suggests memorials to the Jefferson Baptist Church, 179 Pine Street, Jefferson, PA 15344.
